Sourced figures: prices in the table are published by the operators and guides named, with source and check month. They are not our offers, and they change. Nothing here is legal or medical advice.
Three trips touching Sumbawa have published 2027 rates: Mermaid II, Neptune One and Naga Biru. The figures sit in the price table on this page, last checked in November 2026. All three belong to the companies named and differ in length, cabin basis and currency, so compare like with like, then confirm with the operator.
Which operators already list 2027 rates?
These three are the rates we could tie to a named year. Other published figures for the region carry no year or come from general cost guides, and those sit in our wider guide to Sumbawa liveaboard costs. None of the trips below is ours. Each company sets its own rate and holds its own cabins.
| Boat | Who publishes it | Trip | How the rate is stated | Currency |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mermaid II | Mermaid Liveaboards | Bali-Komodo-Bali in 8 days and 7 nights, whale sharks of Saleh Bay included | Per person, by cabin class: lower deck and deluxe | Euros |
| Neptune One | Komodo Resort | Bali to Labuan Bajo in 10 days and 9 nights, by the north coast | A "from" rate per person | US dollars |
| Naga Biru | Tropical Snorkeling | 15 days one way, Bali and Labuan Bajo at either end; 12 guests in seven cabins | A band of cabin rates, per person sharing | US dollars |
Note what these are not. None is a Sumbawa-only product: one pairs Komodo with Saleh Bay, one is a positioning crossing, and one is a snorkelling voyage through West Komodo and Sumbawa. So they do not give you a market rate for "a Sumbawa liveaboard", and a single average drawn from them would mislead you. They show what specific trips cost in a named year, which is more useful anyway.
An interest to declare: asking our desk for an offer can lead to a contract with one of our own group's companies. Hold anything you receive from us to the same comparison you apply to these three.
Which 2027 departures are published?
- Mermaid II. The operator lists departures including 22 May, 10 and 24 July, and 14 and 28 August 2027. The word "including" matters, as that is not a complete list.
- Neptune One. Komodo Resort shows a 20 June 2027 departure. Neptune's own site describes a single crossing each year, in June, when the boat repositions east for Komodo's season. Miss it and the same route waits a year. The site mentions Sangeang and Saleh Bay in season, so ask which stops apply to your date.
- Naga Biru. The organiser publishes 2027 cabin rates. Its 2027 dates and remaining space are for the organiser to state, so read them on its own page.
The Mermaid II and Neptune One dates all fall inside what La Galigo calls the general peak season of April to November, a period it describes as bringing calmer seas and higher prices. A date on a page tells you a departure was planned. It says nothing about whether a cabin remains.
How do rates change into the following year?
In this set, only Naga Biru shows the next year. Tropical Snorkeling lists the same 15-day trip for 2028, with departures including 15 to 29 April and 19 September to 3 October 2028, and the 2028 band in the price table sits above the 2027 band at both ends. Mermaid II and Neptune One show no 2028 rates that we have found.
One organiser's step between two years is not a trend. It does suggest a useful question if your dates are flexible: does the rate lock when you pay the first deposit, or can it move until the balance is settled? Anyone planning that far ahead should get the answer in writing.
How should you compare these rates fairly?
- Match the length. Seven nights, nine nights and 15 days are different purchases. Divide by nights if you want a rough comparison, then remember that the longer trip also pays for more distance.
- Match the currency. One rate is in euros and the others in US dollars. Convert them on the same day, and again before you pay.
- Match the cabin. A "from" rate describes the lowest entry point. A band describes a range of cabins. Lower deck and deluxe are separate products on the same boat.
- Add what sits outside the rate. Komodo Resort leaves out Nitrox, gear rental, drinks, the single-cabin supplement, and park and port fees, according to its page. Our page on costs beyond the headline rate goes through these items one at a time.
- Match the route. If the Bali crossing is what you want, our Bali to Komodo via Sumbawa guide explains what that passage involves.
Length is the easiest place to go wrong. La Galigo's cost guide gives the usual lengths as 4 days and 3 nights, 7 days and 6 nights, or 8 to 10 days on extended crossings. Mermaid II's 8 days and Neptune One's 10 sit inside that description, while Naga Biru's 15 days sits beyond it. Boat size differs too: Komodo Resort describes Neptune One as a 39-metre phinisi with 8 cabins for 16 guests.
When would you actually pay?
A rate is one thing and a payment calendar is another. Tropical Snorkeling sets out staged payments for its trip: a first deposit, further deposits when 12 months and 6 months remain, then the balance at three months out. That is one organiser's plan and not a standard. It does show how early a long snorkelling voyage can start drawing on your budget. If you book inside one of those windows, ask whether stages get combined.
Why might a rate on this page be out of date?
Every figure here was checked in November 2026, and nothing updates it automatically. Several things can move it after that:
- The operator reissues its rate sheet, or changes currency.
- The lowest cabin sells, so a "from" rate no longer reflects what you can buy.
- Extras surface late, as the page on costs beyond the headline rate explains.
- The route itself changes. Komodo Resort notes that departure ports can change and that its reservations team confirms the meeting point.
Treat the operator's page on the day you decide as the current source. If you notice that a figure here has moved, send a link through the contact page so the row can be rechecked.
What else should you check about 2027 rates?
Are these rates offers from this site?
No. They are rates named companies have published for their own trips, and the terms of any booking come from those companies.
Can a rate in euros be compared directly with one in US dollars?
No. Convert both on the same day, and repeat the sum before you pay, because the gap between them moves.
Do these rates include park fees?
Not always. Komodo Resort lists park and port fees among the exclusions on its page, so ask each operator what is outside its rate.
Are 2028 rates published yet?
Yes, for one trip in this set. Tropical Snorkeling lists 2028 cabin rates and departures for Naga Biru.
Is there a 2027 rate for a trip that stays around Sumbawa only?
Not in this set. All three trips also take in Komodo or the crossing from Bali. Short programmes from Sumbawa Besar are covered on our 4D/3N page.
Which published prices did we check?
Rates and fees published by named operators, trip organisers and travel guides, each with its source and the month we checked it. They are not our offers. Rates change, and estimates are labelled as estimates; check the source before you rely on a figure.
